At TMFGS, compliance and ethics are part of our DNA. We are proud to be recognised as a reliable supplier with a very good reputation on the bunker market. According to a survey we launched in October 2017, the main reason for customers to work with us is the trust they have in our company.
In Singapore, TMFGS’ bunker license has been renewed for many years as proof of our integrity and irreproachable practices. In 2017, we strongly supported the introduction of Mass Flow Meters (MFM) on barges for HFO deliveries. The MFM brought fairer competition amongst Singapore’s bunker suppliers, and as a result we moved within 2 years from 17th position in 2016 to 6th position in the 2018 Singapore Marine Port Authority’s bunker suppliers ranking.
To ensure maximum transparency in the market, we also advocate for the compulsory implementation of MFM in any bunkering port.
As a member of the International Bunker Industry Association, we are strong supporters of their initiatives in advocating for an ethical bunker industry, together with the full enforcement of the IMO 2020 Global Cap, and appropriate controls, to ensure a level playing field for all bunker suppliers and shipping companies.
